This past weekend Robson Moura who has been training at Cooper the past 4 months defeated Marcos Parrumpinha. He won the LA EXPO superfight by submission after dominating the fight for four minutes. This match was scheduled for 15 minutes under IBJJF rules. Robson Moura took the match directly to his guard using his trademark open guard and half spider guard a.k.a. (The Cross Guard) with the one foot on Parrumpinha’s bicep. After positional exchanges, Robinho used a classic Nova Uniao style half guard over the shoulder sweep to gain 2 points at two minutes into the match. Moura quickly positioned to take Parrumpinha’s back who was now in the standing position. The transition quickly lead back to the ground with Robson attacking in the top position using a back-crucifix & collar choke to end the match by submission.
