High School Athlete’s start with a detailed evaluation. The evaluation includes a mobility/flexibility assessment, physical performance measurements, mental performance test and a detailed biomechanical analysis of sprinting. Following the initial evaluation, a custom training program is designed for the athlete.
Training sessions are one and a half hours long. We focus on a variety of skills based on the athlete’s goals, sport, and training needs. Furthermore, training sessions move through four consecutive phases. Training phases typically start with a linear progression and move to an undulated training model.
The initial phase starts with general physical preparation and functional strength development. Programs progress into strength, max-strength, power and undulated phases. The first thirty minutes of a training session is dedicated to movement prep, mobility/ flexibility, core strength, and speed mechanics. The remainder of the session focus’ is on plyometrics, explosive power, and strength development.
